The
British Prostate Group now has over 150 members almost equally divided
between basic scientists and practising clinicians. We attract substantial
support from industry, whose representatives are associate members
of the BPG.
Recently
we have created a new category of membership for patient support
groups. These groups are invited to send representatives to the
BPG meetings, and we regularly consult prior to our management group
meetings.

here for the
BPG membership application form.
Simply
print out the form and return completed to the BPG with the appropriate
fee.
Regional
Representatives Sought
The
British Prostate Group would like to improve its channels of communication
with members of the group, and urologists in general. One of the
ways of doing this is to set up a network of SpR representatives
throughout the country and asking them to disseminate information
of events and activities, to SpR's and other colleagues in their
areas.
Additionally,
we would invite each regional representative to attend BPG conferences
and report back to their regional grouping on the event they attended.
We currently have representatives in the Mersey, Derbyshire, Sheffield,
and Staffordshire areas and would like to extend this to the rest
of the country.
Travel
Awards
Members
of the BPG are now eligible to apply for Eagle
Bequest Travel Grants as well as the BPG
travel grant awards.
